The Oxford Orion F.I.S.H. food pantry sold it’s old building to local contractors John & Sheila Belkowski, who caught the vision of providing Safe & Sound housing. Our first resident to move in was Lonnie, who went from $44 pocket money each month and few choices in his day to day life to a level of independence that he hasn’t experienced in years. Soon after he moved in, Lila joined the home, escaping from a toxic environment in unsafe housing and finding some peace of mind simply by having her own room with a door and a key. When she came, she had no driver’s license, but today she is a legal driver and uses our donated van to provide transportation to others in the home.
